Step 1:
Navigate to the Chat tab within the Teams app. Within the Chat tab, click the icon that is a square with a diagonal line drawn from the center of the square.
Step 2:
A new panel should appear on the right side of the window. Here you can begin your chat. Click on the down arrow on the right side of the “To:” field.
Step 3:
Now you can name your group in the top field and enter the contacts into the bottom field that are to be part of the group. You can add more people to the group after the initial creation.
Once you have completed that, you can click into the “Type a new message” area and that completes the creation. You can either send the first message now, or whenever is convenient.
Add to Group:
To add another person to the chat group after creation, click the logo on the top right of the window that looks like a person with a plus next to it and the number of people in the group; then click “Add people.”
Delete a Group:
To delete a group that you created, hover over the group tab in Chat selection area, click the 3 dots on the right, finally, click Discard.
Remove Person from Group:
At the time of writing this article, there is no longer a function to remove someone from the group chat. A new group chat will have to be created.
